Crabapple Fundraiser: Orders Due NOV 10th
All orders are due November 10th for the crabapple fundraiser in conjunction with Stewardship Pemberton. Orders are to be picked up at the school after school on November 15th 3-5pm at the school.

Poinsettia Fundraiser: Orders Due NOV 18th
The annual Poinsettia, Wreath and Planter sale is here! Your child will be bringing home an order form so ask your family, friends, neighbours and co-workers! They make great gifts and last for weeks making them great for the holidays. Orders due Friday November 18th, Online ordering available until Monday the 21st. Pick up date is Friday, December 2nd from 4-6pm.

Teacher Appreciation Luncheon: Thursday, November 24th
Our first teacher appreciation luncheon is going to be on Thursday November 24th. This is the PAC’s way of saying ‘Thank You’ to all of the teachers and support staff and provide them with a delicious and hearty meal. We need salads, mains and desserts made! All dishes can be dropped off in the school kitchen and dishes should include labels with ingredient listings please!
Fall is here and as the leaves change and the days get cooler, busy schedules keep us moving! Here is what is going on with the PAC over the next few weeks.
School Musical- The 3.5 Musketeers
The 3.5 Musketeers is this years production and the show is on Friday October 7th at 7:00pm in the school Gymnasium.
Did you know that the musical wouldn’t be possible without the PAC’s support? We bring LB Productions to the school each year to run this program so that our kids can have a musical production experience!
Tickets will be on sale at the door and are $10/adult , $5/child or maximum $20/family
**Baked Goods and Popcorn will be available for purchase on site**
We are looking for volunteers for baking! All items are to be icing free please.
Baking can be dropped off at the school kitchen.
Next PAC Meeting is a Presenter- Wednesday October 19th 6:00pm
It’s not a meeting this month, we’re shaking things up a bit and this month we will be presenting a guest speaker. Presentation is at the school from 6:00-8:30pm.
In November we have the iGirl and iGuy presentations coming to the school for the intermediate kids in grades 4-7. In conjunction with these great workshops the kids are experiencing, the parent portion of the program is this:
Sex talk. No sweat. A Workshop for Parents
Not all parents are comfortable talking to their children about sex, but all parents can learn to be
comfortable. During this open and informational session, parents will come to terms with sexual health, and understand how it fits into the lives of their children at this stage of life. Attendees will discover how to easily overcome embarrassment when talking about sexual health, learn words and concepts that are easy to use, and leave well equipped to clearly answer the questions children ask. The workshop is light hearted, but delivers straight and current facts on how parents and children can work together to promote good sexual decisions for a lifetime.
Stewardship Pemberton and the PAC will be selling crabapple jelly made right here in the Valley. Stay tuned for details and order forms coming home! Ordering will be available on the Hot Lunch Page as well!

We’re hoping everyone is surviving the first couple weeks of school! Here is an update on what’s going on in the world of the PAC and some dates to remember over the next few weeks.
First PAC Meeting: Sept 27th 7pm
We hope you can join us at our first PAC meeting on Tuesday September 27th in the Music Room at 7:00pm. We’ll approve the budget for the year, present the initiatives we are working on this year, and recruit for some parents/care-givers to join us on the executive! This is a casual setting and a great way to see how you as a parent can be involved as little or as much as you want to be. The agenda for the meeting can be viewed here.
The auditions for this years school musical ‘The 3.5 Musketeers’ are taking place after school from 3-6pm. To make the auditions run smoothly, please send your child with their forms all filled out! The rehearsals will be after school each day Mon-Fri October 3-7th with the Show itself taking place at 7:00pm on Friday October 7th 2016. Ticket details coming soon! See the POSTER here.
Hot Lunch Ordering is Ready!
Ordering is now available for the Fall session of 2016! Woohoo, one day a week you don’t need to make the main lunch portion of thier school lunch!
The dates of Hot lunch are October 12th to October 19th
Ordering deadline is October 5th.
Primary Grades will get their lunches on Wednesday and Intermediates on Thursdays.

There are two ways to order:

It’s not too late to order school supplies if you haven’t been able to find them all.

We’re making it even easier to get those much needed supplies that always seem to be out of stock at every store you go to. We are looking for some great people to join us as we look forward to another year of supporting our children and the teachers and support staff not only by providing financial help through writing grants and holding fundraising, but by supporting them where we can in the classroom setting and by bringing programs to our kids who might not otherwise experience them.

Hot Lunch Administrator (Oversee website & ordering) Hot Lunch Coordinator (Assist with actual lunch days) Teacher Liason (communicating between teachers and PAC) District PAC Representative (Attend the couple of meetings they have (dinner provided!) and update the PAC and keep communication open.) Fundraising Coordinator (Oversee the various fundraisers throughout the year.) Communications Coordinator (Assist with Facebook Page, Website Updates, Marquee Sign & printed communication to parents.) Father/Daughter Dance Coordinator (Manage the task of running this great fundraiser.)
Just a reminder that the last meeting of the year is this evening! We will be meeting at 7:15pm and are looking for new members to our executive for next year! Come out and join us and see what we’ve accomplished this year!
Just a reminder to parents that we are welcoming our superintendent of schools, Lisa McCullough to the school next Tuesday, June 14th at 6:00pm. Lisa is coming in to address any questions parents may have, so please forward your questions to firstname.lastname@example.org as soon as possible so we can give her some time to prepare.
Father Daughter Dance seeking Volunteers!
The Father Daughter Dance is this weekend at the Downtown Barn!
The Father Daughter Dance which is one of our biggest fundraisers is looking for volunteers! Primarily required for day of set up, during and take down, volunteers are what make these successful events happen! Please email email@example.com if you can help.
There are a few ‘daughter’ tickets left! If you child wants to go with a friend, or the ‘father’ is brave enough to bring more girls, that is OK!

The school is hosting it’s Kindergarten orientation today from 1:30-3:30pm. A great chance to meet the teachers, allow your children to explore their new learning space and to find out what you need to be prepared for September!

New Kindy students and their parents are welcome to Kindergarten Orientation. Get a chance to see the classrooms and meet the teachers as you prepare for a big start in September. 1:30-3:30pm on May 26th.
The PAC Presents the Father Daughter Dance!! – June 11th
Dust off your dancing shoes – the Pemberton Father Daughter Dance is coming soon!
When: Saturday, June 11th from 5pm – 9pm Where: The Downtown Community Barn $10 for Daughters and $40 for Dads
(Dad’s ticket will include 2 beer graciously donated by Whistler brewing – no off sales)
Tickets will be on sale from May 9th – May 20th through the online lunch program. Use the same login information you use to order hot lunches. If you do not have an account on this website, you will need to register on the site. If you do not know your log-in information, simply click “forgot password”.
Tickets MUST be purchased in advance. There will be absolutely NO tickets sold at the door.
A small allotment of tickets will be available for purchase by cheque or cash (cheques are to be made payable to SHE PAC and exact cash is needed as we will not have any change). We will be selling tickets in the lobby of the school on May 10th and May 12th between 8:30am-9:30am and again in the afternoon from 2:30pm-3:30pm.
Tickets purchased online will be sent home in agendas the week of May 30th and cash sales will receive their tickets immediately. Don’t lose them, they not only are the only way into the dance, they include free items for the dance!
Make sure you bring extra cash for the raffle items, silent auction, Cheesebox PhotoBooth, and mock tail bar
